Fluviz is a spatial data processor that has been written as a companion for two-dimensional flow modelling tools (e.g. Flumen, Hydro2de, TriPaD). It consists of modules for the generation of structured data sets from scattered data points. The code can be used to edit existing sets (e.g. topographical data) and performs calculations with given sets. Furthermore it allows GIS-like plots of the results.

On Screen Data Editing Data Editing and Altering
cutting points and vertices
contour query

closed polygon editing
Weeding of Vertices (Douglas-Peukert) Data Filtering
buffering (removing points near edges)
cutting equal points
closing polygons
weeding of vertices (with Douglas-Peukert algorithm)
Quadrant Search Method Surface Interpolation (Gridding)
nearest neighbour
inverse distance weighted and quadrant search method
constrained Delaunay triangulation
Mapping on TIN Mapping and Data Query
mapping of nodes
mapping of sections
extracting river sections from TIN surfaces

Fluviz is based on the grafic library GraficV3 (copyright MIT). The triangulation is performed with the program Triangle
