fluvial.ch has been founded by Dr. C. Beffa in 1996. The main topics of fluvial.ch are

developments of numerical tools for surface flow modelling
delivering support for third party users
scientific publications

Several programs have been developed for hydraulic and morphological modelling based on explicit finite volumes. Modules for pre- and postprocessing were created for efficient use of the models for practical applications.
The programs have been applied to many different real world problems by the author and by other users. They will be further developed in the future in co-operation with academic institutes.
